How We Verify Listings

An honest look at where our contractor data comes from and how we keep it accurate.

Where does our listing data come from?

Contractor listings are sourced from Google Places data — business name, address, phone number, and hours of operation. We pull this directly from Google's public business database rather than scraping or fabricating listings.

Where do the ratings and reviews come from?

Ratings and reviews are pulled from Google via the Places API. We display the real aggregate rating and review count Google has on file, refreshed periodically. We do not collect or publish our own reviews.

How do you handle certifications like IICRC?

IICRC and other industry certifications are recorded where they are documented — either publicly listed by the contractor or confirmed when a business claims its listing. Uncertified contractors are shown without a certification badge.

What does "claimed" mean?

A claimed listing means the contractor has verified ownership via email and can now maintain and update their own profile directly. Unclaimed listings are built from public data alone and haven't been reviewed by the business.

Where does the Q&A content on listing pages come from?

Q&A content is generated from each business's underlying data — category, services, certifications, and location. Weak or placeholder answers are filtered out programmatically before publishing, so only substantive answers appear.

How current is the data?

Listing data reflects the most recent sync from Google Places and, for claimed listings, contractor-submitted updates. If anything looks outdated or wrong, contact us and we'll correct it.

How do I report incorrect information?

Email hello@repairs911.com with the listing URL and what needs correcting. Contractors can also claim their listing to make updates directly going forward.
