On March 20, 2024 I hired Texas Disaster Restoration company to do water mitigation on my home and while the damages were sufficient, this company is clearly the "Disaster". They are asking for payment but my foot was injured by the nails that Texas Disaster Restoration neglected to remove in the main entrance way of hallway area. They have yet to take accountability for their negligence or actions. I counted a total of 30 nails left exposed in the floor. I have attached one of the several pictures of the 30+ nails that were left exposed throughout my home. I have been in contact with Shelby through emai(you can see her response in photos attached to this review) I will update my comments on this matter in the event anything changes. See emails and photos below. Before signing.........be sure to read your contract and dont let them rush you as once you sign you are forced into arbitration for any damages caused. READ THE CONTRACT. READ THE CONTRACT. READ THE CONTRACT PERIIOD

Horrible experience with this company. Don't use them! Im only giving a review with one star because it's the lowest possible rating option. They took 4 months to complete mitigation and rebuild for a water leak that came from the second floor to the bottom floor. They even charged me for labor on the work I did myself. When I called this out to the project manager, he said the owner told him to do that because otherwise the job wasn't worth their time! Their painting was a mess - crown molding paint on the wall below and splatters on the wall. I had a lot of touch up work to do myself! Some recessed ceiling lights were taken down and then put back in wrong locations (directional light for the fireplace was placed rabdomly in the kitchen and one light was loose and falling out of the ceiling). The laminate flooring replacement was not executed correctly either. It was buckling in areas and I repeatedly asked them to come and correct it. I was given excuses like they were restructuring and that the scheduling department would contact me but nobody ever called to schedule the repair for their shoddy work despite my constant follow up. I eventually hired and paid someone else to repair it after no action from Texas Disaster Restoration for over 4 months! Additionally, the project manager assigned to the job changed twice (The first one had selective memory and the second was rude. Then was changed back to the first one because the second one was laid off). The two young guys working on the wall texture, painting, and flooring didn't have the skills to do the work correctly and only one spoke very broken English and the other one didn't speak any English. The plumber also didn't speak English and when he reinstalled my dryer in the laundry room he crushed and bent up the vent hose so badly it was a fire hazzard. When I used Google Translate to explain this to him, he just shrugged and had no understanding that this was a hazzard. Again, I had to fix this myself. So incredibly sorry I got involved with this company.

Jaren was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was thorough, considerate of our home, and extremely polite. He explained everything well and answered all of our questions. You can tell that he really cares about the quality of his work and his customers. Our master bath shower leaked through to our master closet, and he made sure this was cleaned up and dried out properly. We will be contacting this company again, once we are ready to do the tear out of our master bathroom and the reconstruction, mainly because Jaren was so professional and wonderful to work with. Also, Allison came with him the first night they were here, and she was also kind and professional. I have nothing but good things to say about both of them and highly recommend this company!
