Seco Water Damage Restoration and Mold RemovalSmoke Damage Restoration in Sterling Heights, MI

Our home in Sterling Heights experienced significant flooding after a sump pump failure during a heavy storm, and water had seeped into the carpet and lower walls of our finished basement. Seco Water Damage Restoration arrived within hours, extracted the standing water, and began an aggressive drying process using commercial-grade equipment. They monitored moisture levels daily and were transparent about what could be salvaged versus what needed to be replaced, including some drywall and baseboards that had absorbed too much water. Throughout the process they communicated clearly with our insurance company, which took a lot of stress off our plate. By the end, the basement was completely dry and treated to prevent mold, and we felt confident the job was handled thoroughly rather than rushed.

After a routine home inspection in Troy flagged signs of past water damage in our crawlspace, we called Seco Water Damage Restoration to take a closer look before it became a bigger problem. Their technician found active mold growth along some of the floor joists, likely from years of minor moisture intrusion that had gone unnoticed. Rather than just treating the surface mold, they identified and sealed the source of moisture intrusion first, then properly remediated the affected wood and improved ventilation in the crawlspace. They provided detailed documentation of the whole process, which gave us peace of mind for future home inspections or resale. It’s clear they focus on solving the root cause rather than offering a quick surface treatment, and we’re grateful we caught the issue early.

Our property in Troy needed water damage restoration, and I was impressed by the level of care provided. The technician took time to inspect the affected areas, discuss the appropriate restoration steps, and complete the work properly. Everything was handled respectfully and with a strong focus on quality.
