It was our first flood that caused water damage and didn't know exactly what to expect. We learned of R1 from our State Farm agent and called them immediately. We received a quick call back from Lynette who explained what we needed to do and had her team out within 24 hours. Lynette and the remediation team did the tests and measurements, setup the equipment and had our kitchen and dining area (cabinets and hardwood floor) equipped to minimize/eliminate water and mold. We then had to begin our claim with SF and based on R1's terrific response, we decided to use them for the restoration work. I will separately review that experience. Bottom line, we were totally impressed with their effort and customer service. Yes, we would use them again and hope that we NEVER would have to do this again!

If I could give Restoration 1 a zero star rating unfortunately I would. They were quick to come to our condo and rip everything out down to the studs (in a one bathroom so no one could live there) but then ghosted us and delayed putting our house back together. There were days we called 7X to get a mitigation report for our insurance company and still couldn’t reach them. It was exhausting tracking them down everyday with no progress week after week. They do not answer phone calls or return voicemails and make already stressful situations 10X worse. Ryan in sales was the only person to answer his phone and he even got exhausted (and said you’re talking to the wrong person) when we were asking Lynette/Accounting for the mitigation report and invoice for the work already completed. We did not even get the estimate from them to put our condo back together because their communication was so terrible we just gave up and found a different company to complete our rebuild. Our insurance, condo management company, and master policy all attempted to reach them as well and they failed as well. Lastly, we were promised a $500 referral fee as my husband is a plumber and had their referral information from previous work completed (which they said on the first call we would get to put towards our deductible) and they gave the $500 referral to a random individual at his previous company. Once we asked about it they basically said they couldn’t do anything about it. If you want communication, basic paperwork for insurance claims, and progress do not select this restoration company. *Also, the new contractor we picked for the rebuild was disappointed to find out Restoration One threw out vent covers, trim kits, and items that 100% could have been reused.

Michael and his crew came promptly when we called them for a basement flood on Christmas Eve. They did an outstanding job cleaning up the mess, removing damaged carpets and wallboard, and drying out the entire space. Five stars for that. I downgraded the rating because it took them six weeks to provide the invoice and other documentation.
