It’s insane that water costs more than electricity and gas combined in New Orleans. Constant water meter leaks, and good luck getting reimbursed for a leak that’s literally the sewage and water board’s fault. They take 1–3 months to fix a leaking meter, then refuse to take accountability for the massive bills people get stuck with. Who can afford a $700 water bill for one person living in a single house?!. No wonder landlords force their tenants to pay for the water. They don’t disclose any water meter leakage when you rent a house and as a tenant you’re stuck with this!!

Sewage Sabotage Read Time: 2-4 mins Count your days Sewage & Water Board. The era of your crooked business practices are coming to an end. Blocking people’s sewage pumps, just because their water bill isn’t paid in advance is illegal. This is why our city floods and smells like sewage. Also, charging people egregious made up amounts just to scam them for more money is highly unacceptable. SWBNO blames the city for infrastructure issues. However, these problems need to be directed right back towards Sewage & Water Board. Backed up and blocked pumps are an infrastructure issue, but these issues were directly caused by the ill practices and negligence of Sewage & Water Board. The sewage in the water is so bad it makes it unsafe and un-drinkable. They mask the taste with heavy levels of chlorine. Is it safe to drink pool water? No! Then they have the nerve to say boil the water to make it safe.It doesn’t! I took a sip of this water and my throat immediately started hurting. I shouldn’t have to use bottled water for everything. This company is ridiculous! In my opinion, the city doesn’t need to incur any debts for Sewage & Water Board’s mishaps. This company needs to fix the sewage issues they have caused the city on their own dime!

We submitted a request for a recycling container 2.5 weeks ago that hasn't been responded to yet. I called to check on the status of the request and was told it would take 6-8 weeks to get a recycling container. It is not acceptable to wait 2 months for a recycling container to utilize a service we pay for.
