When I found out there was water in the bathroom drywall, but not the extent of it, I wasn’t sure who to call. Of the 2 professional opinions and bids I received, I’m lucky that Mickey if Modern Restoration (MR) was one of them. First let me say that the best thing about Mickey at MR is his ability to problem solve and communicate [technical] information when asked. He was quick to respond & follow through with a detailed description of the scope and sequence of water mitigation & restoration process. I like to know what I’m paying for & the estimate was detailed. MR got started the next day. The vanity, toilet, & some drywall had to be removed & Mickey did this with care and consideration for my home. He was respectful and communicative throughout the entire process, documenting all of it for insurance purposes. MR went above & beyond in more than one instance during the process as he dealt with plumbing issues, mold, drying, and removing & replacing my bathroom to pre-loss condition. I would not hesitate to hire Modern Restoration again as they are reliable, knowledgeable, trustworthy, & professional.
We had pretty extensive mold on one of our laundry room walls and no idea how to deal with it. Mickey relocated the appliance, getting rid of the damaged drywall, and restoring the wall to perfect appearance. He also was helpful in suggesting ways to avoiding the mold in the future. The whole process was easy from getting a home visit and estimate, to scheduling. We were delighted when Mickey was able to keep our costs lower than estimated through efficient use of supplies. Through Mickey was responsive and nice to deal with. So glad we found Modern Restoration!
From initial text to Mickey coming by to check our situation—on a Sunday no less!—was under 2 hours. He did great, high quality work. Highly recommended.
