We had an excellent experience with Duckstein Restoration Company. They were always on time, professional, and incredibly respectful of our home throughout the entire project. Every night they cleaned up the job site meticulously, which made such a difference while living through the renovation process. They also stayed on schedule and stuck to the timeline they promised us. Andrew and Caleb were fantastic to work with — friendly, accommodating, and truly a pleasure to have in our home. After having a main stack crack behind a wall, my insurance was notified and in turn had to have a plumbing company give an estimate on a replacement stack and before any repair could be made, a cleanup company had to come in and break through part of the ceiling and two wall areas. Duckstein was recommended for restoration and repair. Duckstein was hired to complete the job of restoration and repair. I was immediately pleased with the two employees, Don and Trent. Not only were they prompt in the time of their scheduled arrival time, but courteous, thorough with the explanation of what had to be done and the expected completion time. Their work was neat and complete. They answered any questions I had and asked if I was pleased with the work in progress. I felt comfortable having them in my home and was aware they were experienced in their work and it would be done to my satisfaction. I would give both employees, Don and Trent a high score and would recommend them for any future work or would request them to return to my home if needed again for this type of restoration.

We hired Duckstein Contracting in April 2024 after a water leak damaged our kitchen. The demolition crew did an excellent job and worked efficiently. Unfortunately, the experience drastically declined once the rebuild began. The rebuild started at the end of June, and issues quickly piled up. Our hardwood floors had to be reinstalled three separate times due to poor workmanship. The entryway and bathroom tile also had to be removed and redone three times because of improper installation. A section of drywall took nearly two months to finish, and the crew never taped off rooms—dust and debris spread through the house, including the entire second floor, covering everything. We dealt with multiple plumbing mistakes as well. The dishwasher was not hooked up correctly, causing soapy water to leak onto our brand-new flooring, and the refrigerator water line was never connected. They eventually had to rip open drywall again to re-plumb what should have been done correctly the first time. On top of that, our front door—less than a year old—was damaged when a worker used construction materials to open it, requiring insurance involvement. After months of two workers in our home with ongoing issues and repeated fixes, we finally had to stop the project because it was getting out of hand. The only positive experience we had was with the father-son team who installed our kitchen cabinetry—they did quality work and were professional. Aside from them, I would advise others to be extremely cautious before hiring this company. Our experience was overwhelmingly stressful and disappointing. The photos were how they were planning on leaving our house. They did end up completing the project.
