We had a pipe leak in our hair salon/employee lounge and immediately concerned about any type of mildew/mold that could affect our clients and team. David/ABC environmental came out to test and explain to me all of the testing requirements involved. By the next day we had our results and a support letter to support his testing. It is nice to do business with an actual voice and live person in this day of computers and AI and I felt supported during the entire process. Would recommend and use his services again.

Highly recommend. I was told by apt maintenance this was soot (spelling?), and, not mold. I asked how I can objectively know, they said they deal with this all the time after the thunderstorms. I asked for a test, They pulled out a machine they said detected moisture, saying look, it's got no moisture, or it would show dark blue. The thing showed the whole wall dark blue on the machine, but these are new apartments. I noticed there was a little yellow so I got confused. Apt maintenance was irritated at my questions (questioning his knowledge). He just repeated it was soot, the machine already showed no moisture. I asked if mold can dry up and show up with no moisture. He wouldn't answer me, said he would sand it, and, paint over it. I noticed he didn't dry it in between. It was rather fast. I noticed it was a little blotchy (not smooth), likely from the irritation of the ten minutes he spent. Resultingly, I decided to put two succulent plants at the very corners of the window pane, and it didn't return. I removed the plants for a second, And overnight, out of the blue, the same spot returned, the same shape as before. There's also the shade that rolls down and has scratched it everyday. I've noticed I've been not functional (already autoimmune compromised before this), a lot worse, since this. I called this kind man here who was very direct and to the point. I will be getting this inspected. The behavior is of mold because, a) it happened during thunderstorm, b) it's not able to be cleaned, super stubborn, and c) it keeps returning in the same exact position and shape (left of the divider). I tried bleach, vinegar, zep biohazard, strongest mold remover at home Depot, nothing has done anything to affect it in the least (in fact, it makes it worse to leave it damp, breeds moisture which spreads its roots). All this, even though, mind you, there's been abundant ventilation all day, everyday, plenty of light and sun, thunderstorm was ONCE. I haven't tried leaving a cup of rice by it, yet. The succulents did help, surprisingly, but that's preventative. I should've left the succulents there, but I thought it wasn't returning because it was soot. Too late now. I didn't want any issues with these apartmentsq, but they don't pay for weather disasters. The insurance is $30/mo, and never covers mold. A new resident told me they make people sign in the contract they understand the traffic facing the window is high, thus, spreads toxic particles to the windows, which particles can and do cause cancer. And here I was trying to get the apt with the most light, but away from the direct sun, TO AVOID, precisely these issues. This company knows their stuff. The wall needs to be cut, just as I suspected. I'm so upset that I was trying to ventilate the entire time to avoid humidity, and one bad weather (and inexperience) cost me my health and money. I have significant visual impairment, and didn't see it for a while, but I searched online, found out the insurance doesn't cover it, regardless. The tissue paper was from leaving vinegar wet sheets overnight (which were a total joke). The first pic was before. The next two pics are now (after it was sanded and painted, and returned). I don't feel safe purchasing any furniture knowing the incoming wind will blow the mold spores in and they'll land on everything. Time to hang anti mold plants everywhere. Sigh! I hate not being able to have any furniture. I'm going to throw away most of what's in the living room because I've noticed how seriously affected I've become, even from something that's under 1ft in length. I don't trust the air purifier removes spores from porous objects like furniture, wood, paper, et. Thank you for being there for me and my dogs.
