So I experienced a leak from my washer and dryer. It was from a Y connector that failed the water went up underneath my tile and then to my wood floors I called lightning restoration explained them the situation. I actually called them on a Friday and told them that it wasn’t necessary for them to rush out because I had already called a leak detector and found out where the leak was actually coming from and it was contained so it was not an emergency and yet on my paperwork they charged me for an emergency phone call $350. I do believe they never gave me a quote. They just gave me a big fat bill. They charged me 4897 odd dollars to tear out approximately a foot of mold damage which then made them pull out 4 feet of drywall in a laundry room and a bathroom and a closet they left their little Blowers there for approximately three or four days, not entirely sure it took them a week to do that. They did take my countertop off in my cabinet apart and threw it away, except for the face the facings of it mind you I took out the drawer so they only had to detach doors. I don’t exactly know what they did in this little tiny space when my insurance company attempted to get a hold of them and negotiate the pricing they wouldn’t even speak to them on the phone, which I think is obviously ridiculous. The insurance company informed me which I have GEICO informed me that they charged me for a level three cleanup, which is feces and that’s they didn’t even have to clean up water. There was mold in the drywall the mold under the wood floors. They didn’t even touch at all after I asked the guy three times to lift up the wood floors they are glued down and the water seeped up underneath through the little cracks and crevices underneath where the glue was so it was trial down and had little channels basically to go through. They didn’t do that. That was the worst part. The pictures that they didn’t do was absolutely ridiculous dealing with the mold, and because of that they held up my insurance company paying out the claim because they needed proof that there was water or moisture underneath the wood floors. It is a shame that companies like this can exist when people are going through experiences like this I will say probably the only thing that was a good experience was the guy was nice, but he asked me 500 times what insurance company I was with and what did they tell me and how did this work and how did that work because he wanted to make sure that he could charge me The level three charge Rather than the level one which mine was water coming out of the wall and again, there was no water for them to clean up that was already cleaned up. I would pick anyone other than this company which also by the way the insurance company has complains about the lady who answers the phone at the front desk. She’s very rude the owner of the company he is more polite understanding and will at least listen to you. I don’t know that anything got fixed but obviously it didn’t because I paid them the $4900 and didn’t even look a different way because I didn’t want this to be held up and held over my head for any other reason. Obviously I was trying to get this all taken care of not realizing that my insurance company won’t even cover half of what they said. They wouldn’t even provide proof that they needed to wear the masks and someone and so forth and they didn’t take all the pictures that they needed to which is very odd because they had 1000 pictures that they took at my house so if you happen to have a flood at your house or anything that needs to be cleaned up I wish you the best, but don’t use this company
