On July 26, 2026, we had a tree fall on our home during a severe wind and rain event. The tree broke through the roof, allowing rainwater to enter a Jack-and-Jill bathroom. After getting the roof cleared enough to install a temporary tarp and removing as much water from the affected area as we could, we contacted our insurance carrier the following day. Once we were able to speak with our adjuster, he contacted ServPro, who quickly got in touch with us. Ray from ServPro arrived promptly to assess the damage. He performed a visual inspection, checked for moisture penetration, and contacted a mitigation team consisting of Adonis and Sabrina. They arrived quickly and did a fantastic job removing the damaged bathroom ceiling, covering the exposed area, removing debris, treating the area to help prevent mold and mildew, and thoroughly drying everything out. Before they left, they cleaned up the work area as well as any areas they used to enter and exit the house. They left a fan in place to dry any remaining moisture and walked me through all of the work they had completed. Another ServPro team also came out to redo the tarp and secure it until the roof repairs can be completed. We're very pleased with the work ServPro did during this very challenging time for us.
