I was cheated out of more than $2,000 by this company. I had significant water damage in my property due to a plumbing malfunction. The cleanup and restoration was over $23,000. I researched different companies to do the work. I decided on Servpro because they had partnered with my insurance company and so assured me that there would be no issues with the payment. This issue happened almost a year ago and I have been in a constant battle with them and the insurance company. Servpro submitted the claim with several unauthorized charges. In the end, they left equipment in the home over a weekend and charged me for those extra days. The insurance will not pay because they said the equipment should have been picked up. Both State Farm and Servpro are blaming each other. I've spent countless hours on the phone over the past year with both companies. We've even done a 3 way call where Servpro hung up on the insurance adjuster. State Farm claims they would have paid if Servpro could prove the equipment needed to be there during those extra days but Servpro did not send the supporting evidence required for the additional days. In the end, Servpro told me that they were going to negotiate a compromise. This conversation happened several weeks ago and it has been radio silence ever since. Both companies are refusing to pay and I am the one who loses.
John Rainey and his team with ServPro are outstanding professionals. They arrived at 3:00 am on Good Friday for a major washing machine leak from the 3rd floor into the two downstairs neighbors apartments. They were quick and communicated everything well to myself and the residents. I’ve been a property manager for over 5 years now and they are some of the best to work with.
