We hired Paul Davis to rebuild our home after a devastating fire, expecting professionalism, expertise, and strong project management during one of the most stressful times of our lives. Unfortunately, our experience has been incredibly disappointing. From the beginning, there has been a consistent lack of follow-through. Deadlines come and go with little to no communication. Promises are made, but tasks are rarely completed on time — if they’re completed at all. We are constantly chasing updates instead of receiving proactive communication. Even more frustrating is the quality and coordination of the contractors being sent to our home. Many do not seem to be true experts in their specific trades, which has led to mistakes, rework, and unnecessary delays. Work has had to be redone because it wasn’t done correctly the first time. That not only wastes time — it prolongs an already exhausting process for our family. Beyond the delays, we are extremely unsatisfied with the overall level of workmanship. The attention to detail has been poor, finishes have felt rushed, and basic standards we would expect from licensed professionals have not been met. We’ve had to point out obvious issues that should have been caught during routine quality checks. Instead of feeling confident in the work being done, we’ve felt anxious and uncertain about whether things were completed properly. When you’re rebuilding your home after a loss, you should feel reassured — not constantly worried about the quality of the construction. The biggest issue is the complete lack of project management. There appears to be no organized oversight of timelines, sequencing, or accountability. We have effectively had to manage the entire rebuild ourselves — coordinating trades, following up on incomplete work, and ensuring tasks move forward. That is not what you expect when hiring a professional restoration company. Rebuilding after a fire is emotionally and logistically overwhelming. Homeowners should not have to act as their own project managers just to keep progress moving. We truly hoped for guidance, expertise, and structure during this process, but instead we’ve experienced delays, miscommunication, and ongoing frustration. I sincerely hope the company takes steps to improve their project management, contractor vetting, and communication practices, because no homeowner going through a loss like this should have to add these additional stresses to their recovery.

Paul Davis was absolutely amazing as they worked on the restoration of my house after a fire. They were incredibly knowledgeable and supportive and my point person, Rachel Maxon, was always there when I needed something or had a question. The entire team did an incredible job rebuilding my house and made it look welcoming and beautiful.
